PEX held on Tuesday, 25th Oct., 2016 a workshop in the city of Hebron, in cooperation with Hebron Chamber of Commerce titled: "Family businesses ... and their sustainability prospects ", the workshop was attended by representatives of PEX, the Capital Market Authority, board members of the Hebron Chamber of Commerce and a selected crowd of businessmen in the city. The workshop included a variety of working papers related to the development of family businesses presented by speakers of global audit firms operating in Palestine, including: Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, Price Waterhouse Coopers and the University of Hebron. PEX modified the Al-Quds Index sample selection methodology. The modification aimed at standardizing the methodology, making it more applicable and in tune with financial markets best practice. Beside other determinants, company's market capitalization and number of trading days weigh 75% of the new methodology, to ensure that the most active traded companies are presented. Companies that compose the Al Quds index represent at least 70% of PEX market capitalization, across all five sectors of the trading board. 9
