Detail Description: Pakistan Bureau of Statistics collects the retail and the wholesale prices and computes the Consumer Price Index (CPI), Wholesale Price Index (WPI) on monthly basis and Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) on weekly basis. In April, 2018 the CPI increased by 1.82%, WPI increased by 1.27% while SPI decreased by 0.45% respectively. Core inflation of CPI i. Trimmed Core Inflation During the month of April, 2018 over March, 2018, the trimmed core inflation has been observed as 5.0% while it was 4.8% during April, 2017. ii. Non-Food & Non-Energy Core Inflation During the month of April, 2018 over March, 2018, the Non-food & Non-energy core inflation has been observed as 7.0% while it was 5.5% during April, 2017.
