MSDC Signs a MOU with MCIF Aiming to Develop Islamic Capital Market Products

MSDC SIGNS A MOU WITH MCIF AIMING TO DEVELOP ISLAMIC CAPITAL MARKET PRODUCTS Maldives Securities Depository Company Private Limited (MSDC) and Maldives Center for Islamic Finance Limited has entered to a MoU today, aiming to broaden the range of Islamic capital market products available in the Maldives market. MSDC currently engages in capital market advisory services, assisting companies in their floatation and the subsequent issuance process. Maldives Center for Islamic Finance Limited (MCIF) is a 100% Government owned Company that was established last year with the purpose of developing the Islamic Finance Industry in the Maldives. The company’s main objectives include structuring Islamic financial products and the provision of ancillary services in this field. MSDC and MCIF will work together in developing and structuring Islamic capital market products for finance seeking companies. The MoU also paves way for both entities to jointly promote Islamic capital market offerings in Maldives and abroad. Speaking about the MoU, the Chief Executive Officer of MSDC, Mr. Hassan Manik said, “This year, we have approached large private companies and discussed about raising finance from the public. We have also explained the distinction between bank based financing and capital markets. A number of them have raised concerns over our market’s capacity, to be specific, lack of technical expertise amongst consultancy providers in this sector. Therefore, I have no doubt that our engagement with MCIF will enable us to render one-stop-services for more companies to structure Shariah compliant products.” This year, MSDC has initiated numerous projects to modernize the services provided by the company. “We are working towards making Maldives the Islamic finance hub of this region. Developing the capital market would be a step forward towards achieving this aim. This MoU will enable Shariah screening process for companies listed at Maldives Stock Exchange”, highlighted Managing Director of MCIF, Mr. Ibrahim Didi. ______________ Reg. 2. ‫އިސްލާމިކް ކެޕިޓަލް މާކެޓް ޕްރޮޑަކްޓްތައް އިތުރުކުރުމަށް ސަރުކާރު ޙިއްޞާވާ ކުންފުންޏަކާއެކު އެމްއެސްޑީސީއިން އެއްބަސްވުމެއްގައި ސޮއިކުރުން‬ ‫މޯލްޑިވްސް ސެންޓަރ ފޯ އިސްލާމިކް ފައިނޭންސް ލިމިޓަޑް އާއި މޯލްޑިވްސް ސެކިއުރިޓީޒް ޑިޕޮސިޓަރީ ކޮމްޕެނީ ޕްރައިވެޓް ލިމިޓަޑް‬ ‫(އެމްއެސްޑީސީ) އާ ދެމެދު އިސްލާމިކް ކެޕިޓަލް މާކެޓް ޕްރޮޑަކްޓްތައް އިތުރުކުރުމަށް ގުޅިގެން މަސައްކަތް ކުރުމުގެ އެއްބަސްވުމެއްގައި‬ ‫ސޮއިކޮށްފިއެވެ‪.‬‬ ‫އެމްއެސްޑީސީއަކީ‪ ،‬ކެޕިޓަލް މާކެޓް މެދުވެރިކޮށް ފަންޑު ހޯދަން ބޭނުންވާ ކުންފުނިތައް‪ ،‬މާކެޓާ ހަމައަށް ގެނެސްދިނުމަށް ވާންޖެހޭ ތައްޔާރީތައް‬ ‫ވުމުގައި‪ ،‬ވިޔަފާރި އުޞޫލުން މިހާރުވެސް ޚިދުމަތްތައް ފޯރުކޮށްދެމުން އަންނަ ކުންފުންޏެކެވެ‪ .‬މޯލްޑިވްސް ސެންޓަރ ފޯ އިސްލާމިކް ފައިނޭންސް‬ ‫ލިމިޓަޑް (އެމް‪.‬ސީ‪.‬އައި‪.‬އެފް) އަކީ‪ ،‬އިސްލާމީ އިޤްތިޞާދީ ހަރަކާތްތައް ރާއްޖޭގައި ކުރިއަރުވައި ތަރައްޤީކުރުމުގެ މަޤްޞަދުގައި އުފައްދާފައިވާ‬ ‫‪ %100‬ސަރުކާރު ޙިއްޞާވާ ކުންފުންޏެކެވެ‪ .‬އެމް‪.‬ސީ‪.‬އައި‪.‬އެފް އިން މިހާރުވެސް ދަނީ އިސްލާމިކް ފައިނޭންސްގެ ޕްރޮޑަކްޓްތައް‬ ‫ސްޓްރަކްޗަރކުރުމާއި ‪ ،‬ޝަރީއާ ސްކްރީނިންގް އަދި މިދާއިރާއާ ގުޅުންހުރި މިނޫންވެސް އެހެނިހެން ޚިދުމަތްތައް ވިޔަފާރި އުޞޫލުން‬ ‫ފޯރުކޮށްދެމުންނެވެ‪.‬‬ ‫މޯލްޑިވެސް ސެންޓަރ ފޯރ އިސްލާމިކް ފައިނޭންސް ލިމިޓެޑްގެ އޮފީހުގައި މިއަދު ސޮއިކުރެވުނު އެއްބަސްވުމުގެ ދަށުން‪ ،‬ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ‬ ‫އިސްލާމިކް ކެޕިޓަލް މާރކެޓް ތަރައްޤީކޮށް ފުޅާކުރުމުގެ ގޮތުން އިތުރަށް އެކުލަވާލަންޖެހޭ މާލީ ވަޞީލަތްތަކާއި ޕްރޮޑަކްޓްތައް އެކުލަވާލުމާއި‪،‬‬ ‫ކުންފުނިތަކަށާއި ތަފާތު މަސްރޫއު ތަކަށް ބޭނުންވާ ފަންޑު‪ ،‬އިސްލާމިކް ކެޕިޓަލް މާރކެޓްގެ ތެރެއިން ހޯދޭނެ މަގުތަނަވަސް ކޮށްދިނުން‬ ‫ހިމެނެއެވެ‪.‬‬ ‫މިއަދު ސޮއި ކުރެވުނު އެއްބަސްވުމާ ގުޅިގެން‪ ،‬އެމްއެސްޑީސީ ގެ ސީއީއޯ އަލްފާޟިލް ޙަޞަން މަނިކު ވިދާޅުވެފައިވަނީ‪" ،‬އަޅުގަނޑުމެން‬ ‫މިއަހަރު ތެރޭގައި‬ ‫ރާއްޖޭގެ ބޮޑެތި ޕްރައިވެޓް ކުންފުނިތަކާއި ބައްދަލުކޮށް‪ ،‬ބޭންކް މެދުވެރިކޮށް ފައިނޭންސް ހޯދުމާއި‪ ،‬ކެޕިޓަލް މާކެޓް‬ ‫މެދުވެރިކޮށް ހެޔޮ އަގުގައި ފައިނޭންސް ހޯދުމަށް މަސައްކަތް ކުރެވޭނެ ގޮތްތައް ކިޔާދިނިން‪ .‬ވަރަށް ގިނަ ފަރާތްތަކުން‪ ،‬ފާހަގަކޮށްފައިވަނީ‬ ‫ޕްރައިވެޓް‬ ‫ސެކްޓަރގައި‬ ‫މަސައްކަތް‬ ‫ކުރާ‬ ‫ގިނަ‬ ‫ފަންނީ‬ ‫ޚިދުމަތްތައް‬ ‫ދޭ‬ ‫ފަރާތްތަކަށް‬ ‫މިދާއިރާގެ‬ ‫މަޢުލޫމާތު‬ ‫ފުރިހަމައަށް‬ ‫އެނގިވަޑައިނުގަންނަވާކަމަށް‪ .‬އެހެން ކަމުން‪ ،‬މިއަދު ސޮއިކުރެވުނު އެއްބަސްވުމުގެ ދަށުން‪ ،‬ސަރުކާރުން މިކަމަށް ޙާއްޞަކޮށްފައިވާ ކުންފުންޏަކާ‬ ‫އެމްއެސްޑީސީއާއެކު‬ ‫މަސައްކަތްކޮށްގެން‪،‬‬ ‫ގިނަ‬ ‫ފަރާތްތަކަށް‪ ،‬އެއް‬ ‫ފުރާޅެއްގެ‬ ‫ދަށުން‪،‬‬ ‫ޝަރީޢާ‬ ‫ކޮމްޕްލަޔަންޓް‬ ‫ޕރޮޑަކްޓްތައް‬ ‫ް‬ ‫ސްޓްރަކްޗަރކުރުމުގައި ފުރިހަމަ ޚިދުމަތެއް ދެވޭނެކަމުގެ އެއްވެސް ޝައްކެއް ނެތް"‪.‬‬ ‫އެމްއެސްޑީސީއިން ވަނީ ކެޕިޓަލް މާކެޓާ ގުޅުން ހުރި ޒަމާނީ ޚިދުމަތްތަކެއް ފޯރުކޮށްދިނުމަށް މިއަހަރުގެ ތެރޭގައި ގިނަ މަޝްރޫޢުތަކެއް ފަށާފައެވެ‪.‬‬ ‫މި އެއްބަސްވުމާ ގުޅޭގޮތުން އެމް‪.‬ސީ‪.‬އައި‪.‬އެފް ގެ މެނޭޖިން ޑިރެކްޓަރ އަލްފާޟިލް އިބްރާހިމް ދީދީ ވިދާޅުވީ "އިސްލާމިކް ފައިނޭންސްގެ‬ ‫ސަރަހައްދީ މަރުކަޒަކަށް ދިވެހިރާއްޖެ ހެދުމަށްޓަކައި އަޅުގަނދުމެން މިދަނީ މަސައްކަތްކުރަމުން‪ ،‬މިގޮތުން މިތައްސަވަރާ އެއްގުތަށް ރާއްޖޭގެ‬ ‫ކެޕިޓަލް މާރކެޓް ކުރިއެރުވުމަކީ މުހިންމުކަމެއް‪ ،‬އަދި މިއެއްބަސްވުމުގެ ދަށުން ސްޓޮކް އެކްސްޗޭންޖްގައި ލިސްޓްކުރެވިގެންދާ ކުންފުނިތަކަކީ‬ ‫ޝަރީއާ ސްކްރީން ހެދިގެން ކުރިއަށްދާ ކުންފުނިތަކަކަށް ހެދުމަށް އަޅުގަނޑުމެންނަށް މަގުފަހިވެގެންދާނެ"‬ ‫‪Maldives Securities Depository Company Pvt Ltd‬‬ ‫‪H.
