Press Release 2017 ‫ نوفمبر‬27 ،‫ اإلثنين‬:‫التاريخ‬ Date: Monday, 27th Nov. 2017 The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of the UAE held its 7th meeting for 2017 at 2017 th 9:30am on Sunday, 26 November 2017, at 26 the Central Bank Head Office – Abu Dhabi, 2017 under the chairmanship of H.E. Khalifa Mohammed Al Kindi, Chairman of the Board. The meeting was attended by H.E. Khalid Juma Al Majid, Deputy Chairman, H.E. Mubarak Rashed Al Mansoori, the Governor, and Board members; Their Excellencies Younis Haji Al Khoori, Khalid Mohammed Salem Balama, Khalid Ahmad Al Tayer, and Hamad Mubarak Buamim, as well as by Their Excellencies Mohamad Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Deputy Governor, Saif Hadef Al Shamsi, Assistant Governor and a group of senior Central Bank staff. 21
2. The Board discussed the Financial Control Quarterly Report , which includes an evaluation of UAE’s financial system trends, and took necessary decisions in this regard. The Board reviewed applications submitted by banks & other financial institutions operating in the UAE. The Board approved the applications that fulfilled the conditions as per applicable law and regulations for each individual activity. The Board also discussed the issue of ‫كما ناقش المجلس أيضا ً موضوع تطبيق نظام الحسابات‬ implementing Dormant Accounts ‫د ا ات فدده ا د ا‬ Regulations, and instructed taking necessary ‫ و َ هَ ددت باتخددال مددا يلددءم م د‬،‫الخامدد‬ .‫الشـــأن‬ actions in this regard. The Board also reviewed other topics ‫م د م د‬، ‫َاطلددا المجلددس الددا المواضدديا اقد د م الم‬ presented by different CB Departments, like ‫ائ‬،‫دَائددد َ دارات المصددد ل الم كدددءت المخ ل ددد كددد‬ Banking Operations and Banking Systems ‫فا َاتخددد مدددا يلدددءم‬،‫العمليدددات المصددد فيظ َأنظمددد الددد‬ Department and took necessary decisions. .‫بشـــأنها م ق ارات‬ 22
