PUBLIC INFORMATION NOTICE September 13 , 2017 The National Bank of Kazakhstan has conducted the 1st Applied Research Conference on «Macroeconomic modeling: a modeling system in the National Bank of Kazakhstan, and research in Kazakhstan» in Almaty on September 12, 2017 Within the framework of the Conference representatives of the National Bank of Kazakhstan and the scientific and expert community have discussed and shared their scientific experience on modeling of macroeconomic processes. The Conference is devoted to the presentation of models used by the National Bank and current research in the field of macroeconomics conducted by the scientific community of Kazakhstan. Such discussions allow us to look at important issues of understanding economic relationships in modern realities and effectiveness of public policy in achieving its medium and long-term goals from different points of view. Based on the results of the Conference, the presented reports are planned to be published in a special issue of the National Bank's publication named «Economic Review». Participants at the Conference represent leading scientific, research and training organizations of Kazakhstan, including the Institute of Economic Research, the Center for Applied Economics, Nazarbayev University, the Kazakh National Technical University after K.I. Satpayev, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, KIMEP University, Kazakhstan Branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University. The wide representation of participants, their high scientific and public status, participation of foreign representatives - all this allows us to hope that this event will serve as an effective and regular platform for discussing measures to develop a scientific approach to public policy.
