3. Producer Price Index in Iran Bahman 1395 (1390 = 100) The Producer Price Index (PPI) went up 0.2 percent in Bahman 1395 following an increase of 1.0 percent in Dey 1395. The index level of 233.8 was 8.9 percent higher than in Bahman 1394. For the first 11 months of 1395, the PPI edged up 4.6 percent, compared to the similar period in 1394. This index moved up 4.5 percent for the 12 months ended in Bahman 1395. Agriculture, forestry and fishing: In Bahman, a 1.2-percent increase in the prices of this group can be traced to the growths in the indices for leaf vegetables, citrus fruits, cattle and buffalo, raising of sheep and goats, poultry and Persian Gulf fish. In contrast, prices for onion, Caspian Sea fish and aquaculture in freshwater went down. Manufacturing: The Manufacturing group index was virtually unchanged in Bahman. In this group, advances in the prices for slaughter livestock and poultry, meat products, cotton thread, machine-made carpet, jet propulsion fuel (type 4), industrial oil, benzene, propane, exported methanol, urea, polypropylene, styrene, glass, iron beam, iron profile, aluminium ingot, zinc ingot, zinc concentrated, metal cans, ventilator, truck, steering box of car and car dashboard offset decreases in the indices for pasteurized butter, stretch 1
4. thread , kraft paper, sanitary paper products, methanol (domestic use), high density polyethylene, PVC, thread tire, round bar, billet and iron bloom. Services: Increases in the indices of restaurants and canteens and "hairdressing and other beauty treatment" mainly led to 0.1 percent rise in the services group. In this group, the price of freight by truck moved down. 2
