Detail Description: Pakistan Bureau of Statistics collects the retail and the wholesale prices and computes the Consumer Price Index (CPI), Wholesale Price Index (WPI) on monthly basis and Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) on weekly basis. In April, 2017 the CPI increased by 1.40%, WPI increased by 0.89% while SPI decreased by 0.91% respectively. Trimmed Core Inflation During the month of April, 2017 over April, 2016 the trimmed core inflation has been observed as 4.8% while it was 3.8% during April, 2016 over April, 2015. ii. Non-Food & Non-Energy Core Inflation During the month of April, 2017 over April, 2016 the Non-food & Non-energy core inflation has been observed as 5.5% while it was 4.4% during April, 2016 over April, 2015.
