PUBLIC INFORMATION NOTICE April 13 , 2018 Governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Daniyar Akishev took part in the International Monetary Fund and the People's Bank of China Conference On April 12, 2018, the Governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Daniyar Akishev took part in the International Monetary Fund conference dedicated to the Belt and Road programme, jointly hosted with the People's Bank of China. During the conference, the delegates discussed political and legal frameworks, economic and financial conditions required for the international initiative to be implemented successfully. The conference was attended by the IMF Managing Director C. Lagarde, by regional representatives of the IMF, the World Bank, ABI, EBRD, the International Finance Corporation, by policymakers from the initiative’s partner countries (Africa, Asia and the Pacific, the Middle East and Central Asia as well as Eastern Europe), by executives of the state regulatory and supervisory agencies of China, Armenia, Laos, Ethiopia, Guinea, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Uruguay, Pakistan, China, Mongolia, and Kenya. (At the photo above - the Governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Daniyar Akishev with the Governor of the People's Bank of China Yi Gang) In his keynote speech at the session "Macrofinancial Policy Implications of the BRI" Daniyar Akishev, Governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan has shared the regulator's standpoint on the role of micro and macroeconomic instruments in mitigation of the destabilizing impact of large financial flows within the framework of limited financial systems. On the sidelines of the conference the Governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan has also met with the appointed on March 19 of this year the Governor of the People's Bank of China
