We wish to announce that Hong Leong Bank Berhad (“HLBB”) has issued RM400.0 million in nominal value of Additional Tier 1 capital securities (“HLBB Capital Securities”) on 30 November 2017 pursuant to its multi-currency Additional Tier 1 capital securities programme. Proceeds from the HLBB Capital Securities were used to subscribe for RM400.0 million Additional Tier 1 perpetual subordinated sukuk wakalah (“HLISB AT1 Sukuk Wakalah”) issued by its whollyowned subsidiary, Hong Leong Islamic Bank Berhad (“HLISB”) on even date. The HLISB AT1 Sukuk Wakalah were issued pursuant to HLISB’s multi-currency perpetual subordinated sukuk programme. Some of the salient terms of the HLBB Capital Securities are as follows: • Nominal value: RM400.0 million • Tenure: Perpetual non-callable 5-years • Distribution rate: 5.13% per annum comprising the benchmark rate plus the credit spread: 1. Benchmark rate: 5-year Malaysian Government Securities. The first reset date for the benchmark rate will be occurring 5 years after issue date and with subsequent resets every 5 years; and 2.
