- Am-Mateen Asia-Pacific Equity 3-year Fund Volatility 12 .4 Very High April 2018 Lipper Analytics 28 Feb 2018 Am-Mateen Asia-Pacific Equity (the "Fund") is a Shariah compliant equity fund that seeks to grow the value of investments over the medium to long term (i.e between three to five years) by investing in Shariah compliant listed equities, equity related investments and other approved instruments across Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) that confoms to the Shariah Investment Guidelines. The Fund is suitable for investors who: • want investment exposure to Asia Pacific (ex-Japan); • seek steady growth-potential capital appreciation with lower volatility; and • have medium to long term investment horizon goals Investment Strategy • To select a core portfolio of low volatility and high dividend stocks with a three (3) years time horizon. • The Fund’s investment is actively managed to identify undervalued companies. "Very High" includes funds with VF that are more than 10.615 (Source: Lipper). The VF means there is a possibility for the Fund in generating an upside return or downside return around this VF. The Volatility Class (''VC'') is assigned by Lipper based on quintile ranks of VF for qualified funds. VF is subject to monthly revision and VC will be revised every six months.
