Definition of "Dirham shar"
The dirham prevalent in the days of the Prophet Muhammad. The jurists of later days used it to translate the equivalents of their own respective times into the coin of the Prophet’s time to determine nisab of zakah, diyah or zakah al-fitr and other religious levies.
