Definition of "Shirkah al-jabr"
Partnership by compulsion. It comes into being if a person purchases goods in the presence of a person who is a bonafide dealer in the particular commodity and the dealer has reason to believe that the goods are being purchased for him as usual. The bonafide dealer will be treated as a partner of the purchaser provided that the purchaser does not declare in anticipation to have purchased the goods for himself.
