Patriot Ummah Saving Scheme
Definition of "Patriot Ummah Saving Scheme"
A scheme started by Bank Partanian Malaysia (BPM) in 1990. Under the scheme, a person pays the bank a minimum of ten ringgits to start a saving bank account. Instead of earn- ing interest on his saving account, the saver gets a bonus, which is equal to inflation rate in the economy. Thus, the scheme protects real value of the savings.
