Al-samahah
Definition of "Al-samahah"
Lit: Magnanimity, generosity. Tech: Spirit of beneficence in commercial dealings, especially among debtors and creditors. It is an important economic value of the Muslim society. The Prophet exhorted the Muslims to forego their claim from a debtor in part or in full and to extend the period of payment if the latter was a victim of uneven circumstances. In other commercial dealings also the give-and-take should be done in a spirit of magnanimity.
