Russian Islamic Economic Forum Held in Grozny, Chechnya to Strengthen Business Relationships

On October 14th to 15th, 2021, the third Russian Islamic Economic Forum was held in Grozny, Chechnya, under the theme ‘Russia - the Guarantor of Partnership’.

Why it Matters?

The purpose of the event was to facilitate the development of business relationships between Russia and the Islamic world. Supported by SberBank (Sber) and co-organised by the International Association of Islamic Business and KPMG, panel discussions were called "New Trends in the Islamic Ecosystem" and "Alternative Solutions to Regulate Islamic Finance in Russia". Moreover, there were also presentations on Russia's first Islamic investment indices and PayZakat.
