Indonesian Halal Certification Standards Set Global Benchmarks: Vice President

Over fifty global halal certificate agencies use Indonesian Halal standards, and hence request recognition from Indonesia, according to Indonesian Vice President, Ma’ruf Amin. Whilst the Government of Indonesia builds on its effort to strengthen various sectors, including the Halal industry, Indonesia has made its mark as a global standard for Halal certification.

However, the Government has stated that these advancements only pertain to Halal certification, whilst Indonesia lags far behind with regards to Halal products.
