Egypt Set to Ink a Free Trade Agreement with the United Kingdom after Brexit

Egypt’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Nevine Gamea, has stated that Egypt will soon sign a free trade agreement (FTA) with the United Kingdom (UK) upon completion of the UK's exit from the European Union (Brexit). Gamea stated that both countries have engaged in negotiations to reach an FTA, which will be finalised soon.

With the UK considering Egypt to be the main gateway to Africa, the Ministry of Trade and Industry was looking for additional advantages, particularly with regard to the export of crops, according to the Minister.
