Bahrain’s Al Baraka Banking Group Appoints New Acting Group CEO

Kingdom of Bahrain- (Bahrain) based Al Baraka Banking Group’s (ABG) Board of Directors has given its approval for the appointment of Houssem Ben Haj Amor, Deputy Chief Executive of Business Development and Investments, as Acting Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), as per an announcement made on the 16th of June 2022.

Why it Matters?

The appointment was made on the 15th of June 2022, during the entity's meeting, which was chaired by Sheikh Abdullah Saleh Kamel, and will take effect on the 1st of July 2022, subject to approval by the Central Bank of Bahrain. Houssem will succeed Mazin Manna, who resigned effective the 30th of June 2022, after an 18-month term at ABG.
