Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry Calls for Standardisation of Nigeria’s Halal Market

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), a Federal Business Sector organization in Nigeria, has called for the country’s government action on Halal standardisation and regulations ahead of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Speaking at an International Halal Industry webinar organised by ACCI recently, which was attended by key stakeholders including Malaysian and Indonesian trade representatives among others, the President of ACCI, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, stated that the Halal industry was critical to the accelerated recovery of the Nigerian economy and urged the country to take more steps towards the sector.
