As far as Sunnah is concerned, permissibility of hiring of persons can be derived, for instance, from the Hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in which he said: “The most eligible of whatsoever you have got a pay for, is the Book of Allah”. This in addition to many other Hadiths. In this regard, Al-Bukhari presented a whole chapter on Ijarah (hiring) which comprises 22 sections, and so did Abu Dawud, as well as other Sunnah scholars who referred to several Hadiths on the subject within other chapters.
