Sheikh Dr Mohammed Ali Bin Ibrahim Elgari Bin Eid

Dr Mohammed is a lecturer in Islamic Economics and also the Director of the Centre for Research in Islamic Economics at King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia. Dr Elgari is associated with over 40 Shariah Advisory Boards in the finance, banking, and advisory industry including Citibank, S&P Dow Jones, Saudi Hollandi Bank, Standard Chartered, The Islamic Bank of Asia, and Accounting and Auditing Organisation for Islamic Institutions. Through extensive research in Islamic Finance and Economics, Dr Elgari has authored several books on Islamic Finance and is also a member of the Islamic Fiqh Academy. During his career, Dr Elgari has contributed to many conferences and seminars, both in his home country Saudi Arabia and globally. The topics on which Dr Elgari focuses in his published works are fiscal deficit in Islamic economies, Shariah compliant credit cards, and the role of Islamic mutual funds and risk management.
