Prof Dr H Muhammad Amin Suma

Prof Dr H Muhammad Amin Suma is a Professor and the Dean of Faculty of Shariah and Law at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University, Jakarta. Previously, he was part of Sharia Supervisory Board in various institutions such as: PT MAA Shariah, Attaqwa Shariah Islamic Bank Shariah, Baituz-Zakah Pertamina, Baitul Mal Umih Islam Foundation - BNI, Dompet Dhuafa Republika, and Bank Permata Shariah. At Chubb Syariah, he serves as the chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Board and in addition, he was actively involved in several Islamic organizations, such as the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Association of Indonesian Scientists and Scholars (HISSI), Deputy Chairman of the Fatwa Commission of the Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI), Deputy Chairman of the National Shariah Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN - MUI ), Deputy Chairman of the Shariah Economic Community Expert Board and the Islamic Economic Expert Council (IAEI). Some Scientific works in the field of Islamic Religion have also been published, among others, relating to the Quranic Sciences, Tafsir Ahkam, Shariah and Conventional Insurance, and the Status and Role of Islamic Law in the State of Indonesia.
