The Global Financial Crisis was a decade ago. The global economy has recovered from the crisis with economic output higher and many investment products doing well. But to many people, it doesn’t feel like a success and the financial industry has not regained the trust of the public. One of the critical ingredients needed is to break a cycle of distrust by promoting more transparency and accountability to show where financial institutions are working to rebuild trust.
