Nasib al-mithl

Definition of "Nasib al-mithl"

Lit: Similar share. Tech: In relation to an agreement of partnership, such as shirkah, mudarabah, muzar‘ah, musaqah, etc., it is share of profit for each party to the agreement, in case the original agreement becomes void ( fasid) for any reason. In such a case, each one is given nasib al-mithl: the generally accepted share in similar cases.
