Definition of "Al-infaq"

Lit: Spending, expenditure. Tech: Spending to seek Allah’s pleasure, whether to discharge a liability or voluntarily, on the poor, needy or to meet social needs. Al-infaq also covers one’s expenditure to meet one’s own personal needs and those of the family.
