Definition of "Al-dinar al-dhahaby"

Golden dinar in circulation during Nasrid Spain (fourteenth century AD). Usually of 2g in weight, containing 22 carat gold. The gold dinar was mostly used in the international trade in those days. It was equal to 5–7 silver dinars or 75 silver dirhams.
