Global Green Sukuk Issuance Declines 44.4% YoY over January to July 2020

The global Sukuk market in 2020 has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, with green Sukuk issuance declining by 44.4% year-on-year (YoY) during January to July 2020, according to Marina Mardi, Independent Consultant and Former Assistant Vice President of Khazanah Nasional, who was speaking at a recent virtual Sustainable and Inclusive Finance Forum organised by Bank Negara Malaysia and the World Bank Group.
