  1. MENA Morning Report Sunday , November 19, 2017 Overview Regional Markets: The MENA markets have continued to remain subdued during the week as investors are concerned about the geopolitical environment coupled with marginal weakness in oil prices. Lack of positive developments across the region is also not giving any reasons for investors to drive the regional markets. For the day, three out of the eight indexes closed in green, while four were in red and one remained unchanged. UAE markets ended on a negative note as both Dubai and Abu Dhabi were down by 0.2% each for the day. Dubai witnessed strong increase in trading activity, which was mostly dominated by GFH and Emaar during the session as they accounted for more than 50% of the total value traded. Egypt was the worst performer as it was down by 1.3% for the day, extending the weekly losses during the week. Qatar closed on a positive note as it was up by 0.8% for the day, recovering 50% of the losses during the week. Kuwait closed in green as it was up by 0.4% for the day, continuing the positive performance during the week. Saudi Arabia closed unchanged for the day as the index recovered the losses towards the end of the trading session. Bahrain was up by 0.4%, while Oman was down by 0.1% for the day. For the week, Egypt was the worst performer with losses of 3.5%, followed by 1.1% in Abu Dhabi, while Oman was the best performer with gains of 1.0%, followed by 0.8% in Kuwait. International Markets: US markets closed on a negative note as DJIA, Nasdaq and S&P were all down by 0.4%, 0.2% and 0.3% respectively for the day. European markets closed on a negative note as FTSE, DAX and CAC were all down by 0.1%, 0.4% and 0.3% respectively.
