CBUAE Classification : Public CBUAE issues guidance to ‫اﻟﻣﺻرف اﻟﻣرﻛزي ﯾﺻدر ﺗوﺟﯾﮭﺎت إﻟﻰ‬ financial institutions on the ‫اﻟﻣؤﺳﺳﺎت اﻟﻣﺎﻟﯾﺔ ﺣول ﺗطﺑﯾﻖ اﻟﻣﻌﯾﺎر اﻟدوﻟﻲ‬ application of International (IFRS 9) 9 ‫ﻟرﻓﻊ اﻟﺗﻘﺎرﯾر اﻟﻣﺎﻟﯾﺔ رﻗم‬ Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS 9) Abu Dhabi (30 May 2020): The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has issued its guidance to financial institutions on the application of International Financial Reporting Standard 9 (IFRS 9). The guidance has been issued after a consultation with stakeholders in the financial sector. ‫ أﺻدر ﻣﺻرف‬:(2020 ‫ ﻣﺎﯾو‬30) ‫أﺑوظﺑﻲ‬ ‫اﻹﻣﺎرات اﻟﻌرﺑﯾﺔ اﻟﻣﺗﺣدة اﻟﻣرﻛزي ﺗوﺟﯾﮭﺎﺗﮫ‬ ‫إﻟﻰ اﻟﻣؤﺳﺳﺎت اﻟﻣﺎﻟﯾﺔ ﺣول ﺗطﺑﯾﻖ اﻟﻣﻌﯾﺎر‬ ،(IFRS 9) 9 ‫اﻟدوﻟﻲ ﻟرﻓﻊ اﻟﺗﻘﺎرﯾر اﻟﻣﺎﻟﯾﺔ رﻗم‬ ‫وذﻟك ﺑﻌد اﻟﺗﺷﺎور ﻣﻊ أﺻﺣﺎب اﻟﻣﺻﻠﺣﺔ ﻓﻲ‬ .‫اﻟﻘطﺎع اﻟﻣﺎﻟﻲ‬ The objective of IFRS9 guidance is to ensure that credit losses resulting from the consequences of Covid-19 pandemic are appropriately calculated. IFRS9 guidance proposes practical solutions to manage the impact of economic uncertainty on the estimation of expected credit losses, while remaining compliant with IFRS 9. ‫وﺗﮭدف ھذه اﻟﺗوﺟﯾﮭﺎت إﻟﻰ ﺿﻣﺎن اﺣﺗﺳﺎب‬ ‫اﻟﺧﺳﺎﺋر اﻻﺋﺗﻣﺎﻧﯾﺔ اﻟﻧﺎﺗﺟﺔ ﻋن ﺗداﻋﯾﺎت وﺑﺎء‬ ‫ وﺗﻘﺗرح ﺣﻠوﻻً ﻋﻣﻠﯾـﺔ‬،‫ ﺑﺷﻛل ﻣﻧﺎﺳب‬19-‫ﻛوﻓﯾد‬ ‫ﻟﻠﺗﻌﺎﻣل ﻣﻊ ﺗﺄﺛﯾر ﻋدم اﻟﯾﻘﯾن اﻟﺗﻲ ﯾﺷﮭدھﺎ‬ ‫ اﻟﻰ ﺟﺎﻧب‬،‫اﻻﻗﺗﺻﺎد ﺣﺎﻟﯾﺎ ً ﻋﻠﻰ ﺗﻠك اﻟﺧﺳﺎﺋر‬ ‫اﻻﻣﺗﺛﺎل ﻟﻣﺗطﻠﺑﺎت اﻟﻣﻌﯾﺎر اﻟدوﻟﻲ ﻟرﻓﻊ اﻟﺗﻘﺎرﯾر‬ .9 ‫اﻟﻣﺎﻟﯾﺔ رﻗم‬ The guidance also aims to ensure transparency and disclosure, ‫ﻛﻣﺎ ﺗﺳﻌﻰ ھذه اﻟﺗوﺟﯾﮭﺎت إﻟﻰ ﺗﻌزﯾز اﻟﺷﻔﺎﻓﯾﺔ‬ contributing to strengthened financial ‫واﻹﻓﺻﺎح وﺗﺳﮭم ﺑﺎﻟﺗﺎﻟﻲ ﻓﻲ ﺗﻌزﯾز اﻻﺳﺗﻘرار‬ stability in the UAE. .‫اﻟﻣﺎﻟﻲ‬ -Ends- -‫اﻧﺗﮭﻰ‬-
